Sparks Police Department Collecting Funds for the Explorer Program

SPARKS, Nev. (775 Times, NV Globe) – On December 18, 2022, the Sparks Police Department asked the community to come take photographs with Santa at a community event.
The Sparks Police Explorer Program will benefit from any donations earned during the event.
The Boy Scouts of America created the program to inform young individuals about various police enforcement jobs. They also provide training for a wide range of industry-related skills.
Anyone between the ages of 14 and 20 is eligible to apply for the program.
Applicants must have a 2.0 GPA, pass a background check, and bring a positive attitude and eagerness to learn to be a Sparks Police Explorer.
During normal business hours, applications can be picked up at the Sparks Police Department front desk.
