
LVMPD Officer Collides with Pedestrian in East Valley Accident

LAS VEGAS – In the early hours of Wednesday morning, an on-duty officer from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) was involved in a collision with a pedestrian in the east valley. The incident occurred near the intersection of Boulder Highway and Flamingo Road.
LVMPD has released a statement confirming that the pedestrian involved in the accident was transported to the hospital with minor injuries, while the officer was unharmed. The department has not yet released any information on the cause of the accident.
Following the incident, southbound Boulder Highway was closed between Indios Avenue and S. Nellis Boulevard to allow for an investigation of the crash. It is still unclear when the road will reopen.
The LVMPD has not released any further details about the accident at this time, but the incident is under investigation. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact the LVMPD’s Traffic Bureau.
