Fatal Shooting Near Harry Reid International Airport Under Investigation

LAS VEGAS – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that took place near the Harry Reid International Airport on Wednesday afternoon.
The incident occurred at around 1:22 p.m. when officers were called to the scene near Paradise and Russell roads.
One person was shot and transported to Sunrise Hospital, where they were later pronounced dead at 2:28 p.m.
The LVMPD Homicide division is leading the investigation, and no other details have been released at this time.
Drivers are advised that Russell Road from Maryland Parkway is currently closed, but the airport connector is open.
This is an ongoing investigation.
