Pedestrian Hospitalized After Being Struck by Vehicle in Reno

NEVADA – A pedestrian was hospitalized on Tuesday night after being hit by a car in Reno. The incident occurred at around 9:15 p.m. on May 23 at the intersection of Gentry Way and South Virginia St. Emergency responders from the Reno Fire Department (RFD) swiftly arrived at the scene following reports of a vehicle versus pedestrian collision.

Upon arrival, RFD personnel found the pedestrian trapped under the vehicle. Despite the alarming situation, the pedestrian remained conscious. The fire department initiated extrication procedures to safely remove the individual from underneath the vehicle. Subsequently, the pedestrian was promptly transported to the hospital, although the specific details about their condition remain unknown at this time.
