Corey Harrison of ‘Pawn Stars’ Reflects on DUI Arrest

Las Vegas, NV – Corey Harrison, widely recognized for his appearances on the hit TV show “Pawn Stars,” shares his reflections and personal growth following his recent DUI arrest. In a candid interview, Harrison opens up about the incident, his perspective on the field sobriety test, and his determination to move forward in a positive direction.

The arrest occurred late Thursday night in downtown Las Vegas after Harrison returned from a filming trip for the show’s latest series, “Pawn Stars Do America.” While checking on his downtown Airbnb properties, Harrison was pulled over by a motorcycle officer from the Las Vegas police department for swerving in his 2020 Ford F 250 truck, which he attributes to a slight pull to the right.

The field sobriety test that followed left Harrison disappointed, as he claims he struggled to perform well due to difficulties in following instructions. Despite feeling that he had passed the test, he believes its structure is designed to make individuals fail, regardless of their actual performance.

TMZ initially reported on the incident, which led to Harrison’s arrest for DUI. He was subsequently taken to the Clark County Detention Center, where he spent approximately eight hours before being released. Remarkably, Harrison’s driver’s license was not suspended, and he remains unaware of the results from the blood test he underwent.

Reflecting on the experience, Harrison expressed frustration that a breathalyzer test was not administered, particularly given the suspicion of alcohol consumption. He firmly believes that the presence of a functioning breathalyzer would have provided a more accurate assessment of his sobriety. Additionally, Harrison shared that the officers recognized him as the “Pawn Stars” personality while he was being transported to jail.

In his defense, Harrison cited several factors that potentially affected his performance during the arrest. These included an infected right shin acquired during a shoot in Rhode Island, which caused him to be unsteady, as well as the challenging paver-stone surface near the sidewalk where the incident occurred. Furthermore, Harrison emphasized that he had only consumed one drink during his flight, approximately seven hours prior, and had not consumed anything else.

Notably, Harrison had unopened wine bottles featuring labels adorned with his own face in his vehicle, gifted to him by a “Pawn Stars” fan and a friend from Argentina. While this may have raised eyebrows initially, it does not indicate his level of sobriety during the time of the incident.

During the field sobriety test, Harrison faced additional distractions when two police officers at the scene had to respond to a reported shooting. The resulting chaos and commotion further undermined his ability to perform optimally.

As a native of Las Vegas, Harrison intends to hire a local attorney to handle his case, although he has yet to reveal their identity. Emphasizing his commitment to dealing with the matter through legal proceedings, Harrison asserts that he does not condone drinking and driving or being confrontational with law enforcement. However, he underscores the significance of standing up for oneself in the face of adversity.
