Two Killed in High-Speed Las Vegas Crash, Hit-and-Run Suspect Sought

LAS VEGAS – Two people were tragically killed in a Friday night crash on Vegas Drive and Pyramid Drive. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a hit-and-run driver involved in the fatal collision.
Details of the Crash
The incident occurred around 10:11 p.m. According to police, a 2008 Ford Crown Victoria and a dark sedan were traveling eastbound on Vegas Drive at a high rate of speed when a 2005 Nissan Frontier, turning left onto Vegas Drive, crossed their path. The Nissan collided with the Ford, causing the Ford to spin and strike a light pole. Debris from the collision damaged two parked vehicles. The driver of the dark sedan fled the scene.
Tragic Outcome
The 16-year-old driver of the Ford and the vehicle’s passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Nissan remained on-site and showed no signs of impairment. These deaths mark the 32nd and 33rd traffic-related fatalities in LVMPD’s jurisdiction for 2024.
