White House Confirms Trump’s Excellent Health—So Why Is the Media Panicking?

By TheNevadaGlobeStaff, July 17, 2025 12:55 pm

President Donald Trump, still pushing forward with unmatched energy at 79, has been diagnosed with a common and manageable vein condition—chronic venous insufficiency—after noticing mild swelling in his legs. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed the diagnosis on Thursday, noting that the White House medical team promptly evaluated the swelling.

Despite predictable media hand-wringing, medical tests revealed no signs of deep vein thrombosis or arterial disease—just some blood pooling typical of older adults, particularly those as active as Trump. The condition is widespread among Americans over 70 and far from a crisis.

The same press corps that downplays real concerns about President Biden’s visible cognitive decline is now suddenly concerned about bruising on Trump’s hand—something Leavitt explained is caused by routine handshaking and aspirin use. Yet, you won’t see the same scrutiny applied evenly across the aisle.

Let’s not forget: the same pundits eager to make this sound like a dire issue are the ones who declared Biden “fit for duty” after he struggled to finish a sentence on live TV. Meanwhile, Trump is traveling the country, rallying massive crowds, and carrying the GOP on his back. The real story? He remains in excellent health and sharper than most of his critics.

But when the left can’t beat him on policy, performance, or stamina, they’ll invent a health scare to feed their narrative. It won’t work. Trump remains the tireless leader America needs—and no diagnosis changes that.
