Police in Las Vegas responded Wednesday night after authorities received a report of a suspicious-looking package near a western-valley bus stop at Sahara Avenue and Fort Apache Road. Security officers with the Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) discovered the small package near the southeast corner of the stop, prompting a temporary shutdown of the area for investigation.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) confirmed the scene was secured while officers examined the package. No injuries or further details have been released so far. Authorities said the investigation remains active as they evaluate whether the package poses a threat.
