Record Unemployment Among College Grads Exposes Democrats’ Failed Promises And Nevada Is Paying the Price

New analysis shows something Democrats never thought they’d have to answer for: Americans with four-year degrees now make up a record 25% of unemployed workers. After years of insisting that every young person needed a bachelor’s degree to succeed, the people who bought that promise are now the ones left stranded.

And nowhere is that failure more obvious than in Nevada.

For decades, Democrats like Dina Titus, Susie Lee, and Steven Horsford have preached the same sermon, more four-year degrees, more student loans, more bureaucratic “career pathways” designed in Washington instead of Nevada. They mocked Republicans for championing skilled trades, mining, energy production, logistics, and tourism  – the industries that actually keep Nevada’s economy moving.

Now the data is undeniable: Democrats didn’t build an economy for workers. They built an economy for bureaucrats.

Under Biden, congressional Democrats doubled down on the college-for-all myth, pushing millions into debt while suffocating the industries Nevada depends on with regulation, higher costs, and Biden’s war on energy. The result? Young adults with four-year degrees can’t find work – even as Nevada employers in trades and growth sectors are desperate for qualified talent.

Meanwhile, Nevada Democrats spent their time in Washington promoting DEI initiatives, green pet projects, and federal red tape while ignoring the state’s real workforce needs.

Republicans warned this would happen. President Trump and GOP lawmakers have championed a skills-first, jobs-first, America-first economy – one that values trade schools, apprenticeships, technical pathways, mining, construction, and the energy jobs Democrats keep trying to kill.

Nevada’s workforce doesn’t need more sociology graduates drowning in debt. It needs fewer federal burdens, more domestic energy production, lower costs for employers, and an economy built around real jobs – not political fantasies.

Democrats promised young people a golden ticket. Instead, they handed them a bill and no career.

And with one in four unemployed Americans now holding a bachelor’s degree, Nevadans can finally see the truth: Washington Democrats broke the job market, and Nevada families are paying for it.
