LAS VEGAS — The Vegas Golden Knights Foundation officially opened its submission window today, February 2, for the 2026 Nevada Reading Week. The annual program, which is set to run from March 2 to March 6, pairs professional hockey players and team staff with local elementary schools to promote literacy and community engagement.
Starting this morning, teachers and school administrators from across Clark County can nominate their pre-K through fifth-grade classes for a special visit from the team. The foundation stated that winners will be selected based on “creativity and team spirit” expressed in letters or videos. The initiative is part of a broader 2026 effort by the franchise to deepen its footprint in Southern Nevada’s educational landscape following a record-breaking year for the team’s charitable arm.
