Investigation Underway After Pedestrian Struck Near Warm Springs and Eastgate

Police in Henderson responded to a vehicle collision Wednesday afternoon that resulted in both a driver and a pedestrian being transported to a hospital and prompted the closure of a major roadway during the investigation.
The Henderson Police Department said the crash occurred shortly before 3 p.m. near Warm Springs Road and Eastgate Road. Officers arrived after reports that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle in the area.
Authorities said both the driver and the pedestrian were transported to Sunrise Hospital for medical treatment. Officials did not immediately release details about the severity of their injuries.
Warm Springs Road was closed in both directions while officers documented the scene and conducted an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash. Police advised drivers to avoid the area until the roadway could be cleared and reopened.
The Henderson Police Department said the investigation remains ongoing as officers continue reviewing the events leading up to the collision.
