DEFUND AND DISRUPT: Titus, Lee, Horsford Vote Against TSA Pay, Border Security, Law Enforcement

House Democrats are now deep into a DHS funding standoff, and Nevada’s delegation just made their position unmistakably clear.
Dina Titus, Susie Lee, and Steven Horsford voted against funding the Department of Homeland Security, rejecting support for the very agencies responsible for keeping Americans safe.
ICE. Border Patrol. TSA. All of it. That vote carries real-world consequences.
Because DHS is not a talking point. It is the infrastructure behind airport security, border enforcement, and federal law enforcement coordination. When funding is blocked, those systems do not just pause. They strain.
TSA officers are already feeling it. Working without pay. Showing up anyway. Keeping lines moving as best they can while Washington drags its feet. Meanwhile, travelers are stuck in long security lines, delays stacking up, frustration building by the hour.
This is not theoretical. It is happening now. And at that exact moment, Titus, Lee, and Horsford chose to vote against paying those workers and against funding the agencies they rely on. That is the decision.
Against paying TSA workers.
Against border security.
Against law enforcement.
All in one vote.
The justification coming from Democrats leans on politics and process. But voters are looking at outcomes. They are looking at airport lines, at security concerns, at a border that remains a top issue nationwide. And they are asking a simpler question. Why vote no?
Nevada, in particular, has no buffer from this kind of disruption. Las Vegas is one of the busiest travel destinations in the country. Airport efficiency is not optional. It is essential to the state’s economy.
When TSA is strained, Nevada feels it immediately. Tourists wait. Flights back up. Businesses lose time and money. And voters take note of who made that call.
“Dina Titus, Susie Lee, and Steven Horsford just voted to defund law enforcement and leave TSA workers without paychecks, all to appease the radical left. It’s a stunning display of misplaced priorities, and voters will hold Titus, Lee, and Horsford accountable,” said NRCC Spokesman Christian Martinez
That message resonates because it aligns with what people are experiencing in real time. Lines that stretch longer. Systems that feel weaker. Workers doing their jobs without compensation. In Nevada, where elections are tightening and patience is thinning, this kind of vote cuts through quickly.
Republicans are framing it as a clear choice. Security and stability versus political posturing. Democrats are left defending a vote that is getting harder to explain with every passing day of the shutdown.
The contrast is sharp. And it is only getting sharper.
