Fentanyl and Meth Syndicate Dismantled: Homeland Security Task Force Unseals Major Indictment

LAS VEGAS, NV — A sophisticated narcotics network responsible for flooding the valley with lethal doses of fentanyl and methamphetamine has been dismantled following a high-stakes federal takedown.

The “Stash House” Takedown

The operation, executed by the Las Vegas Homeland Security Task Force (HSTF), culminated in a series of raids on Thursday, April 9. Federal agents executed search warrants across multiple “stash houses” and a storage locker used by the syndicate to warehouse inventory.

According to the indictment unsealed by the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the following items were seized during the sweep:

30,000 fentanyl pills
2.25 kilograms of fentanyl powder
2.3 kilograms of heroin
One pound of methamphetamine
A semi-automatic rifle and over $30,000 in cash

Defendants and Charges

Two men, Francisco Felix and Alexis Arturo Martinez (also known as Arego Martinez Reglado), were arrested and made their initial court appearances on Friday, April 10. The indictment charges the pair with a litany of federal crimes, including conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance, multiple counts of fentanyl and methamphetamine distribution, and money laundering.

Prosecutors allege the duo was not only distributing drugs locally but also laundering proceeds back to Mexico. “The defendants were poisoning our communities with drugs,” said First Assistant U.S. Attorney Sigal Chattah.

The Legal Path Ahead

Both Felix and Martinez have been remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshals. A jury trial is currently scheduled for June 15, 2026, before U.S. District Judge Gloria M. Navarro. If convicted, both men face a maximum statutory penalty of life in prison, with a mandatory minimum of 10 years.

This bust is the latest result of the HSTF initiative, a “whole-of-government” partnership involving the FBI, DEA, and local law enforcement aimed at disrupting the flow of synthetic opioids into Southern Nevada.
