Dina Taxes Is Back: Democrat Congresswoman Runs from Questions After Radical Vote to Raise Taxes on Nevada Families

Democrat Dina Titus is back to doing what she does best, voting to raise taxes on hardworking Nevadans and then running away when asked to explain it.

The Las Vegas Democrat was caught on camera bolting from constituents who pressed her about her vote against President Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill Act,” a sweeping tax cut package that delivers real relief to Nevada’s working-class families. Instead of standing by her decision, Titus offered no explanation, just a quick escape down the hallway of the Capitol.

According to the Congressional Budget Office, Trump’s bill is projected to deliver more than $500 billion in tax relief nationwide. In Nevada, where over 1.4 million taxpayers stand to benefit, the average Henderson couple making $80,000 would save roughly $800 a year, enough to cover school supplies, groceries, or a family vacation. The bill also raises the standard deduction to $16,000 for individuals and $32,000 for joint filers.

Yet Dina Titus voted against it.

Worse, she voted for a 22% tax hike—the single largest tax increase in American history—while slashing the child tax credit in half and opposing a Republican-led amendment to eliminate taxes on tips, a move that would have directly benefited tens of thousands of Nevada’s service workers who rely on tips to make ends meet.

“Dina Titus’s radical vote is unacceptable,” said NRCC Spokesman Christian Martinez. “Instead of doing her job and making her constituents’ lives better, she just voted to raise their taxes, take away their jobs, and undermine our national security. Nevada voters will consistently be reminded of this betrayal all the way through next Fall.”

And the betrayal doesn’t end with Dina Titus. Nevada Democrats Susie Lee and Steven Horsford have repeatedly joined Titus in voting to make life more expensive and less safe for working families in the Silver State—higher energy costs, open border policies, and tax hikes that hammer the middle class while giving handouts to illegal immigrants.

The message from Nevada Democrats is clear: if you work for tips, pay your taxes, and just want to get ahead, they’re not on your side.
