In a surprising twist, Councilwoman Michelle Fiore has dropped her bid for Governor and filed as a candidate for Nevada State Treasurer. Today, in an email and announcement video, she claims to have made this decision after consulting with President Donald Trump’s team. She decided to focus on Nevada’s economy, citing sky-high inflation, gas prices, and an economy that is “falling apart.” Fiore promises to “fight for our economy, our jobs and our kids.”

In her email to supporters, Fiore calls herself “an America First Treasurer candidate,” and states, “my mission is simple and enduring: It’s time to fight for our economy, our jobs, and our children.”

“The people of Nevada are waking up more and more to the economic devastation caused by the failed agendas of career politicians, and understand the significance of selecting a battle-tested patriot who has a Conservative record of performance in private industry and public service. ”

Fiore looks to unseat Democratic incumbent Zach Corzine in the November election. but will first face Republican Manny Kess in the June primary.
