Nevada Dems’ AJR14 Tantrum: Slamming Trump Pardons, While 751,000 Voters Say Otherwise

Nevada’s Democrat, led Assembly is at it again, pushing a resolution, AJR14, that’s as misguided as it is divisive. Set for a hearing tomorrow, April 3, 2025, at 4 p.m. before the Committee on Legislative Operations and Elections, this joint resolution doesn’t just condemn the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot. It takes a sledgehammer to reason by denouncing President Trump’s recent pardons and commutations for some 1,500 individuals tied to that day. The sponsors, a laundry list of Assembly Democrats like Yeager, Monroe, Moreno, and Miller, alongside Senate cohorts like Scheible and Cannizzaro, claim it’s a betrayal of law enforcement and democracy itself. But let’s cut through the sanctimonious fog and look at the facts.

First, the resolution’s narrative is a one-sided hit job. It paints January 6 as an “insurrection” that assaulted the “rule of law” and “American democracy,” spotlighting injuries to 140 officers and cherry, picking violent acts, like a flagpole attack and bear spray, to stoke outrage. Fair enough, violence happened, and it was ugly. But here’s what they won’t tell you: Nevadans aren’t buying the Democrats’ four-year obsession with that day. Over 751,000 of us voted for Trump in November 2024, handing him a 46,000-vote victory in the state. That’s not a fluke, it’s a rejection of the tired January 6 script. And let’s not forget that Trump ordered 10,000 National Guard troops to the Capitol, an offer that Nancy Pelosi waved off. Funny how that detail never makes the cut in the Democrat playbook.

The resolution’s real kicker? It slams Trump’s January 20, 2025, pardons as a slap in the face to cops and citizens alike. The International Association of Chiefs of Police and Fraternal Order of Police agree, crying foul over letting “criminals” walk. But hold on, facts are still trickling out. The House is actively investigating January 6, and discovery isn’t done. Maybe that’s why 751,000 Nevadans see AJR14 as selective outrage from a party that’s lost the plot.

Opposition is already mobilizing. Testimony submitted to the committee, like one calling AJR14 “puzzling” and another warning it’ll be “overshadowed” by Nevadans who back Trump, shows the disconnect. A huge swath of the state plans to flood the President with messages saying Nevada’s got his back, not the Assembly’s. If AJR14 passes, it’ll be a whisper drowned out by a roar.

The hearing’s open to the public, dial (888) 475,4499, Meeting ID 87978139197, and Nevadans should make their voices heard. This isn’t just about a resolution; it’s about who gets to speak for us. The Democrats behind AJR14 think they can steamroll the will of 751,000 voters with a piece of paper. They’re wrong. Nevada’s not a monolith, and this stunt proves it. Tomorrow, the Assembly can either listen to reason or double down on a narrative that’s already expired. My money’s on the latter, but the people won’t forget.
