OPINION: Pornographic Books & Curriculum: The “Whited Sepulchres” of Washoe County Public Schools.

“Whited Sepulchres” is an ancient biblical simile used over 2,000 years ago by Jesus Christ. The term derives from an ancient practice of the priests that was used to intentionally mislead their communities.

Tombs, also known as “sepulchres,” were considered unclean. They were whitewashed on the outside to make them appear clean and beautiful, while hypocritically disguising the human rot and decay stored within.

Washoe County School District’s schools are the “whited sepulchres” of the 21st century.

Outwardly, they are materially-impressive, mega million-dollar examples of construction excess. The schools’ outward appearances promise parents the best possible education for their children.

Inwardly, however, these school buildings tell a different story. They are filled with their own version of human rot and decay.

WCSD schools offer, promote, and even require students to engage with morally decadent books and teaching materials, far more depraved what most parents would imagine. These materials precisely fit a dictionary definition of “pornography”, i.e.:  “the explicit representation of sexual activity, in images or in writing.” (Oxford Classical Dictionary)

According to the Capital Resource Institute, WCSD maintains over 3 thousand book titles in its school libraries that contain “sexually explicit content”, and thus qualify to be classified as pornography.

Some individuals might think it’s a stretch to claim that such a large number of identified “sex-books” are shelved in WCSD’s libraries.

Doubters might insist that those specific library books have been wrongly-identified: victims of community critics’ pious overreaction toward “normal” books that deal “reasonably” with adolescent sexuality.

For those who accept that mistaken perspective, consider below just 4 of many explicit examples of topics covered in great detail in many of the books on that list, and in other curricular materials.

• The best way for one male to properly perform oral sex on another male. (library book)

• What semen tastes like. (library book)

• Encouraging and teaching the best way – and desirability of two males having anal sex. (library book) 

• How to place a “dental dam” on someone else’s anus before you lick it.  (WCSD’s Sex Education Curriculum)

Worth noting

Those examples, like a large number of WCSD’s pornographic books and materials, are written with a strong emphasis on homosexuality and encourage under-age sexual activity.

WCSD students as young as 11 have access to many of these books and materials.

Upon learning about WCSD’s providing perverse pornographic materials in school libraries, a number of parents (and grandparents) were enraged. They wrote – and continue to write letters to secondary school principals, urging them to remove these books from their school libraries.

NONE of the principals who responded have agreed to remove the pornographic books. 

The following are excerpts from the principals’ response letters to concerned parents. They explain why the principals refuse to remove these sick, perverted books from their libraries.

• “We feel these books have literary merit.” 

• “The books engage young children in meaningful subjects.” 

• “(These books) help us maintain a diverse and vibrant learning community” for our school’s children.” 

•”We want our children to have access to these resources.”

•”Our school has a commitment to intellectual freedom (with 11 year-olds?) and an inclusive library collection.”

• “These books give students invaluable opportunities for reflection and discussion.”

The WCSD principals’ responses clearly reveal that the greatest danger to our children is NOT that they are being exposed to these depraved pornographic BOOKS. 

The greatest danger is that for 1500 hours each school year, our children are being exposed to these perverse school ADMINISTRATORS.  

These are men and women whose personal values are so depraved – whose moral courage is so weak – that they are willing to do anything it takes to keep their jobs, even if it means selling their souls to WCSD by putting their signatures on form letters that were clearly written by some Master Pervert administrator, and, no-doubt approved by WCSD’s acclaimed new superintendent and School Board.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

We ALL need to learn the entire story of how this pornography worked its way into our schools, how prevalent it truly is, and what EACH of us can do to remove it.
