SWAMP ALLIES: Swalwell Scandal Explodes as Nevada Dems Stay Silent

By TheNevadaGlobeStaff, April 11, 2026 7:05 am

Bombshell after bombshell reports have blown the lid off Democrat Eric Swalwell, detailing a series of sexual misconduct allegations involving staffers, including claims that one incident involved a staffer who was too intoxicated to consent. The reports have triggered serious questions in Washington about conduct, accountability, and who knew what.

But in Nevada, the silence is deafening.

Out of touch Democrats Dina Titus, Susie Lee, and Steven Horsford have said nothing as the scandal engulfs one of their own. No statements. No calls for answers. No distance. Just silence as the headlines stack up.

That silence starts to make more sense when you follow the money.

Swalwell funneled thousands into Nevada. Campaign records show contributions to both Horsford and Lee, tying them financially to the same lawmaker now at the center of serious allegations. And when it counted, Titus, Lee, and Horsford returned the favor, backing Swalwell and helping protect his position on the powerful House Intelligence Committee, even after his past association with a suspected Chinese intelligence operative raised national security concerns.

Now, as new allegations surface, the same pattern is playing out again.

Look the other way. Stay quiet. Protect the ally.

It does not stop there.

Horsford’s campaign has gone even further, contracting with Findraiser, an AI political startup tied directly to Swalwell himself. That business relationship pulls Nevada Democrats even deeper into Swalwell’s orbit, linking their political operations to a figure now facing mounting scrutiny.

This is not just guilt by association. This is an interconnected network of political, financial, and operational ties.

And voters are noticing.

Nevada families have watched this play before. Scandal breaks. Democrats close ranks. Accountability disappears. The difference this time is the scale of the allegations and the growing frustration from voters who are tired of the double standard. If this were anyone else, the outrage would be nonstop. Instead, the silence is strategic.

NRCC Spokesman Christian Martinez put it bluntly as pressure mounted: out of touch Democrats Dina Titus, Susie Lee, and Steven Horsford will not say a word about Eric Swalwell because they are tied at the hip politically and financially, and they have made it clear they will cover for him no matter what.

That framing is gaining traction because it reflects what voters are seeing in real time.

Nevada’s political landscape is shifting, and scandals like this accelerate that movement. Voters are less interested in party loyalty and more focused on accountability. They want to know who their representatives stand with when the pressure hits.

Right now, Titus, Lee, and Horsford are standing with silence.

And in politics, silence speaks louder than anything else.
