Today, Ron Quince announced he will run as a Nonpartisan/Independent candidate in the upcoming November general election for Congressional District One (CD-1). Quince had announced his campaign to unseat Rep. Dina Titus (D-NV) in the GOP primary, but withdrew his candidacy prior to election day. He has reportedly collected the needed signatures to appear on the ballot as an Independent candidate.

“I am incredibly honored and grateful for the support from voters as we campaign throughout the district, “said Quince in a press release.  “My campaign is a testament to the power of coming together, beyond party lines, to address the issues that matter most to us all.”

“I believe that our political system is in dire need of change,” Quince added. “It’s time to move beyond the divisive partisanship that has infiltrated our political system. This divisiveness hinders progress and stifles meaningful dialogue. My candidacy represents a commitment to unity, integrity, and effective governance.”

In his campaign’s announcement, Quince highlights the political polarization that “grips the nation” and promises to “transcend partisan gridlock.” His independent candidacy closely mirrors that of his GOP candidacy in that his campaign will focus on key issues related to inflation, border security, affordable housing, and reiterates former President Donald Trump’s campaign promise to not tax tips received by hospitality workers.

“As a non-partisan candidate, I am not beholden to any special interests or party agendas,” Quince emphasized. But make no mistake, I will continue my position as a conservative. “However, my allegiance lies solely with the people I seek to serve. Together, we can build a future that works for everyone, regardless of political affiliation.
