81-Year-Old Man Arrested in Fatal Las Vegas Stabbing

Las Vegas police have arrested 81-year-old Juan Garcia-Hernandez in connection with a deadly stabbing that occurred Sunday afternoon. Officers responded to a reported stabbing at an apartment on E. Pebble Road near Maryland Parkway around 1:13 p.m., where they discovered a man suffering from fatal stab wounds. Medical personnel pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Homicide detectives revealed that Garcia-Hernandez and the victim had been inside the apartment when an argument broke out, leading to the fatal stabbing. Garcia-Hernandez has been taken into custody on suspicion of open murder.
Court records indicate that he is scheduled to appear in court on Monday afternoon as the investigation continues.
