LAS VEGAS – A woman has been arrested in Las Vegas for attempted murder after stabbing a man in a garage.
The incident occurred on November 28, when police responded to the 6100 block of Smoke Ranch Road to investigate a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, they found a shirtless man with a large kitchen knife lodged in his back.
The victim told police that he had met the suspect, Kelly Alatorre, at a bus stop earlier that day. They went to the garage together, where they got into an argument. During the argument, Alatorre stabbed the victim and fled the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital for surgery, and it was later determined that he had a punctured lung.
Alatorre was arrested a short time later and charged with attempted murder with a deadly weapon. She is currently being held in the Clark County Detention Center.
