A Barricade Issue in the West Las Vegas Valley Has Metro Police and SWAT Troops on the Scene.
LAS VEGAS – Metro police and SWAT teams are on the scene of a barricade incident in the west Las Vegas valley, which has resulted in lane closures.
Of Tuesday night, just before 11 p.m., RTC Southern Nevada reported that all lanes on Washington Avenue between Tenaya Way and US 95 were closed in both directions.
According to authorities, Rock Springs Drive is closed for roughly a half mile north and south.
According to North Tenaya Way Police, at least one person is reported to be inside a property refusing to come out.
According to authorities, there have been some minor evacuations in the area, but no injuries have been reported as of yet.
Traffic cams show multiple police vehicles in the vicinity, with Metro units blocking the intersection of Washinton Avenue and Rainbow Boulevard.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area and take alternate routes. This is a developing story; please return for updates.
