
A Pedestrian Was Hit and Killed Close to an Intersection in the East Las Vegas Valley

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (702 Times, NV Globe) – Authorities said that a man was murdered Sunday night while crossing a street in the east Las Vegas valley.
The crash was reported shortly before 9:20 p.m. According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, the incident occurred on Nellis Boulevard south of Flamingo Road.
Investigators think the man, a 50-year-old Las Vegas man, was crossing Nellis outside of a designated crosswalk when he was struck by a northbound 2019 Mercedes-Benz A-Class.
The pedestrian was declared dead at the scene.
According to police, the driver of the Mercedes did not appear to be intoxicated. He and two passengers reported injuries and were transferred to Sunrise Hospital by ambulance.
The man’s death is the 142nd traffic-related fatality documented under LVMPD jurisdiction this year.
