A jury found a woman guilty of murder and child abuse in the 2019 death of a 5-year-old girl, and she was sentenced to at least 20 years in prison.
Richard Davis and Shevhaun Miller were arrested and charged with murder and child abuse in the death of Davis’ daughter, Janiyah Russell, who died from blunt force injuries.
Miller was found guilty in July, and on Thursday, he was given a sentence of 20 to 50 years. The trial for Davis is set for February.
