LAS VEGAS – People traveling to Las Vegas this weekend for the Super Bowl may face heavy traffic and long wait times at the airport. Officials are urging travelers to be prepared for heavy traffic, which could extend their visit through Valentine’s Day.
Even though the Super Bowl is a few hundred miles away, in Phoenix, hundreds of thousands of visitors are expected in Las Vegas this weekend.
The airport will be very busy with travelers and officials are advising people to be prepared for long waits at checkpoints, rental car shuttle buses, and other services. Fliers are urged to report 2 to 3 hours before their departure time and wait times at security checkpoints will be the longest on Monday afternoon.
