Arizona Police Say a Man Shot His Sleeping Roommate Over a Broken Microwave

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (702 Times, NV Globe) – The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office reports that a man is suspected of shooting and murdering his roommate after a dispute over a microwave.
Around 4 p.m. on Wednesday, MCSO was called to a residence in Golden Valley’s 3100 block of McConnico Road. Police stated they were called out for a murder investigation.
The house was inhabited by Robert Hoenshell Jr., 73, and Everett Yates, 73. According to MCSO, Hoenshell fatally shot Yates.
According to investigators, Hoenshell and Yates had a fight the day before over a broken microwave. When police interrogated Hoenshell, he allegedly informed them he shot Yates while he was sleeping.
According to investigators, Hoenshell is charged with first-degree murder. According to MCSO, the inquiry is still underway.
