Barricade in Downtown Las Vegas Draws Police Attention

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (702 Times, NV Globe) – On Friday afternoon, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police are responding to a barricade close to the city center.
According to LVMPD, the incident started at 10:53 am. in the vicinity of Maryland Parkway, at the 1100 block of Stewart Avenue. A wanted suspect was discovered by police who had been searching the area for him. The suspect, according to police, locked himself inside an apartment.
Police were unable to confirm the suspect’s motive or whether any neighboring neighbors had been evacuated. According to LVMPD, Stewart is closed between N. The public is warned to stay away from the area around 11th Street and Maryland Parkway.
