Driver Cooperating with Investigation
The driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene and is fully cooperating with investigators. Preliminary reports indicate no immediate signs of impairment, though the specific cause of the crash remains under review by Metro’s traffic bureau.
The collision occurred in a high-traffic area adjacent to several local businesses, including a dentist’s office, a convenience store, and a nearby early childhood education center. Residents in the area have previously raised concerns regarding pedestrian and cyclist safety in the mixed-use corridor.
This incident follows a troubling start to the year for road safety in Southern Nevada, though police were relieved that this particular encounter did not result in a fatality.
