Breezy and Chilly: Fall Weather Takes Hold Across the Las Vegas Valley

By TheNevadaGlobeStaff, October 15, 2025 3:39 pm

Southern Nevada woke up to its coldest morning in months as cooler air moved into the Las Vegas Valley on Wednesday. Temperatures dipped into the low 50s across much of the area, marking the coolest start to a day since early May.

According to KTNV’s weather forecast, breezy conditions will continue through the afternoon, keeping daytime highs below seasonal averages. Most valley locations are expected to reach only the low 70s, nearly ten degrees cooler than normal for mid-October.

The cool weather pattern follows a cold front that passed through earlier in the week, bringing drier air and gusty winds to the region. Forecasters say temperatures will begin to warm slightly heading into the weekend, with highs returning to the upper 70s and low 80s by Sunday.

Residents can expect clear skies through most of the week, though overnight lows will remain cool, dipping back into the 50s in the valley and 40s in outlying areas.
