Clark County School District Teacher Faces Charges Amidst Allegations of Long-Term Student Relationship

LAS VEGAS – A distressing case has emerged from the Clark County School District, where a teacher, Kaitlin Glover, is facing serious charges following allegations from a former student of an ongoing sexual relationship spanning years. According to an arrest report, the victim disclosed that her involvement with Glover extended from December 2017 to September 2021, evolving from mentorship and advice to intimate communication via Snapchat.

The report reveals that the relationship took a disturbing turn as explicit content was exchanged, eventually leading to physical encounters. Over a span of four years, the victim claims they expressed love for each other around 500 times. These exchanges culminated in sexual activity, which reportedly began in May 2018, with the victim stating that they engaged in such acts approximately every two weeks in a parked car near her residence.

The victim’s decision to keep the relationship hidden was driven by Glover’s alleged threats of self-harm if the victim were to leave her or inform the authorities. The principal of the school where Glover worked became aware of the accusations in January 2022 and reported them to Child Protective Services, initiating an investigation.

Glover, however, maintains her innocence regarding the allegations of sexual misconduct. While admitting to a close relationship, she asserts that her actions were motivated by concern for the victim’s difficult family circumstances, positioning herself as a maternal figure and mentor.

Although Glover refutes engaging in sexual misconduct, she acknowledges extensive communication with the victim through Snapchat and providing support by having phone conversations during daily tasks. This unsettling situation came to light after the victim learned of another alleged relationship involving Glover and a different student.

Authorities subsequently spoke with the second possible victim in August, who implied an incident but did not provide details. Regrettably, the messages relevant to the case had been deleted from her phone.

While the school’s identity remains undisclosed, it has been confirmed that Glover has been employed within the district since 2014. Facing multiple charges, including lewdness with a child aged 14 or 15 and engaging in sexual conduct with a student aged 16 or older, Glover is slated for a preliminary hearing on September 14. This concerning case underscores the need for vigilance in safeguarding students and maintaining ethical boundaries within educational environments.
