Downtown Las Vegas homicide: Woman killed in late-night shooting on Fremont

Police in Las Vegas have identified a woman who was fatally shot late Wednesday night in a downtown neighborhood. Officers with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded at about 10:50 p.m. to the 2100 block of Fremont Street, where they discovered the victim with a gunshot wound. Paramedics immediately began assistance, but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The case is now being treated as a homicide and detectives are reviewing surveillance video and interviewing witnesses to determine a motive and locate the shooter.
