Woman Found Dead After Apartment Fire Near Downtown Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS – A woman was tragically found dead after a fire broke out at Arthur McCants Manor apartment complex near downtown Las Vegas on Sunday evening.
Fire Response
Las Vegas Fire & Rescue received reports of smoke within the building at approximately 6:36 p.m. Crews arrived within three minutes and promptly began evacuating residents and locating the source of the fire.
Tragic Discovery
Firefighters extinguished a small fire originating in a second-floor apartment bathroom. During their search of the apartment, they discovered the body of a 59-year-old woman.
Ongoing Investigation
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by fire officials.
