Driver Accused of DUI After Bicyclist Struck Killed in Central Las Vegas Valley

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (702 Times, NV Globe) – Authorities said that a biker who was struck by a car early on Tuesday morning in the middle Las Vegas Valley died.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the collision happened about 4:04 in the morning. Tuesday close to Commercial Center Drive and East Sahara Avenue.
Investigators discovered proof that a sedan’s driver hit a man on a bicycle at the crossroads before it flipped onto its side.
The biker, who was only identified as a man, was transferred to Sunrise Hospital where he eventually passed away.
The sedan’s 35-year-old Las Vegas resident and Jessica Saitta, the driver, are accused with homicide through reckless driving and DUI. As of Tuesday night, she was detained without bail.
The LVMPD’s jurisdiction has had six traffic-related fatalities so far in 2023. Investigations into the event are still ongoing.
