LAS VEGAS, NV – Jemarcus Williams, the man accused of killing two Nevada State Police troopers in a DUI crash last year, pleaded guilty to two counts of DUI resulting in death on Tuesday. This plea follows a deal reached with prosecutors last week.

Williams, 46, was arrested after striking Sgt. Michael Abbate and Trooper Alberto Felix with his vehicle as they assisted another motorist on Interstate 15 on November 30th. Williams fled the scene, but his car was later discovered in a nearby neighborhood. A police report notes that a Nevada State Police badge was found inside.

Detectives tracked down Williams, who admitted to being the driver. An arrest report reveals that Williams was seen at the Palms Casino shortly before the crash, appearing intoxicated. Security escorted him out and warned him not to drive, but Williams ignored the caution. Surveillance footage shows him hiding before returning to his car.

Williams faces two to 20 years in prison for each count. His sentencing is scheduled for June 11th.
