
E-Scooter Rider’s Death Raises Concerns

A sobering incident in southwest Las Vegas underscores the critical importance of responsible behavior on our roads. On March 24, 2025, at approximately 3:11 p.m., a collision occurred at the intersection of Warm Springs Road and Torrey Pines Drive involving a 2017 Toyota Corolla and two electric scooter riders. According to witness statements and surveillance footage, the Toyota was traveling eastbound on Warm Springs Road when it entered the intersection and collided with the scooter riders, who were heading southbound on Torrey Pines Drive.
Emergency responders transported both individuals to the University Medical Center Trauma Center. Despite their efforts, a 22-year-old male rider was pronounced deceased. The second rider, a juvenile, remains in critical condition. The driver of the Toyota remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment.
This incident marks the 39th traffic-related fatality in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s jurisdiction for 2025.
