The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) is currently investigating a deadly motor vehicle collision that took place shortly after midnight on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the intersection of West Oakey Boulevard and Western Avenue. The incident involved a 2023 Nissan Ariya and a 2004 Yamaha 1100 motorcycle. Initial reports from LVMPD indicate the collision occurred at approximately 12:21 a.m.
The 41-year-old woman operating the Nissan Ariya was proceeding westbound on West Wyoming Avenue, which transitions into West Oakey Boulevard at the point of the intersection with Western Avenue. Concurrently, the 41-year-old male driver of the Yamaha was traveling eastbound on Oakey Boulevard. Police state that the crash ensued when the Nissan made a left turn, resulting in the motorcycle striking the front of the car. The impact subsequently ejected the motorcyclist from the vehicle. Emergency services arrived on the scene and pronounced the motorcyclist deceased. The driver of the Nissan remained at the scene following the incident, and police have confirmed that impairment was not a factor on her part. A passenger in the Nissan sustained minor injuries.
This event marks the 156th traffic-related fatality recorded within the LVMPD’s jurisdiction for the year 2025. The full details surrounding the circumstances of the collision remain under active investigation by the department.
