Female Pedestrian Who Was Struck by a Car on Oct. 5 Died as a Result of Her Injuries

A lady who was walking at a pedestrian crosswalk in the northwest valley when she was hit by a car earlier this month died as a result of her injuries.
At around 8 a.m. The 67-year-old lady was walking across North Jones Boulevard at Carl Avenue. On Oct. 5, the driver of a 2019 Hyundai Kona going north on Jones failed to give the right of way, “resulting in an accident.
The lady was taken to University Medical Center with critical injuries. the Clark County coroner alerted the department’s fatal detail on Thursday that the woman had died.
According to the initial announcement, the driver, David Wieand, 47, of Las Vegas, left the scene but later returned, cooperated with the investigation, and showed no symptoms of intoxication.
On Sunday, police did not say whether charges were filed, but they did say the collision is still being investigated.
According to the announcement, this is the 114th traffic-related fatality.
