Girl Hit By Car, Driver Flees; Metro Asks For Public’s Help

LAS VEGAS – Police in Las Vegas are appealing to the public for assistance in locating a suspect they claim hit and injured a child late Friday night and then fled the scene.
On Friday, February 24 at around 6:20 p.m., the incident occurred near the intersection of Buffalo Drive and Vegas Drive, according to the police.
It has been reported that a juvenile was crossing Vegas Drive east of Buffalo Drive when she was struck by a mid-sized black or dark-colored SUV, knocking her to the ground.
The unidentified girl was transported to the hospital by emergency personnel and was later admitted with “substantial injuries,” according to the police.
After colliding with the youngster, the Vehicle might have sustained damage to the front bumper or mirror on the driver’s side. Its last known location was on Vegas Drive, westbound through Buffalo Drive.
