Las Vegas Man Killed in Tragic Car Crash on US95

LAS VEGAS – A tragic car crash on US95 in Nevada has resulted in the death of a Las Vegas man, according to Nevada State Police.
The accident occurred at around 9:50 pm on May 1, when a blue Dodge Avenger ran out of gas and stopped in the far-right travel lane on northbound US95, just north of the Decatur Boulevard on-ramp. The front passenger had gotten out of the car and walked to the rear. A gray Chrysler 200 traveling in that lane failed to slow down and hit both the passenger and the rear of the Dodge. The passenger, identified as Khalin Hershel Houston, 28, was pronounced dead at the scene.
This marks Nevada State Police, Highway Patrol – Southern Command’s 24th fatal crash for 2023, resulting in 26 fatalities.
