
Las Vegas Police Investigating Shooting That Left One Homeless Man Dead and Four Others Injured

LAS VEGAS – Las Vegas police are investigating a shooting that left one homeless man dead and four others injured on Friday evening. The shooting occurred around 5:30 p.m. inside a homeless encampment at the intersection of Sandhill Road and Charleston Boulevard in the northeast valley.
According to Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Jason Johansson, the suspect, described as a man dressed in a black hoodie, fled the scene in a black sedan. Police are still searching for the shooter.
All five victims were transported to University Medical Center for treatment. One of the victims, a man in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the hospital. Another man in his 30s is in critical condition. Two more men in their 30s and one in his “late teens” are in stable condition.
Police are also investigating whether two other men seen near the shooting were involved in the attack.
