By TheNevadaGlobeStaff, September 19, 2025 10:09 am
A Las Vegas woman, Ketty J. Dilone, was taken into custody after allegedly assaulting and intimidating flight attendants on a flight bound for Harry Reid International Airport, authorities say. Dilone was a passenger on an American Airlines flight arriving from Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, with a connection in Charlotte, North Carolina. The U.S. Department of Justice reports that during the flight, Dilone walked down the aisle, yelled threats at flight attendants, and allegedly kicked one, causing the attendant to fall.
To restrain her, flight crew used zip ties and duct tape. Upon landing, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police took Dilone into custody. She appeared in court on charges including interference with a flight crew and assault. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for October 1. She faces a maximum sentence of up to 20 years under federal law.
The DOJ has asked anyone who witnessed or was a victim of in-flight misconduct to report it to the flight crew, airport police, or the FBI.
