One of eight individuals arrested in a recent undercover operation targeting suspected child sex predators in the Las Vegas Valley has been identified as a local pastor, according to church officials.

Neal Harrison Creecy, 46, pastor at Redemption Church, was arrested as part of a multi-agency sting conducted by the Nevada Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and local law enforcement. He is charged with one felony count of using a computer to lure or attempt to lure a child or a mentally ill person for a sexual act. Creecy posted $10,000 bail and was released pending further proceedings.

The church where Creecy conducted services, Good Samaritan Lutheran Church and Christian Academy, clarified in a letter to its congregation that Redemption Church is a separate ministry and not part of its leadership or programs. The letter affirmed their commitment to child safety and stated that they were unaware of any misconduct involving Creecy prior to the arrest.

The arrests followed a two-week undercover operation resulting in eight total arrests. All suspects face similar charges related to luring a minor online, and investigators advised parents to discuss online safety with children and monitor their social media activity.
