LVMPD Closes Part of Flamingo Road After Serious Pedestrian Collision Near Paradise

A pedestrian was left in critical condition after a crash on East Flamingo Road near Paradise Road on Monday morning, prompting a road closure just east of the Las Vegas Strip. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police said the collision was reported shortly after 10:30 a.m. local time. Medical crews took the pedestrian to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police said the driver stayed at the scene and investigators did not suspect impairment. Flamingo Road was closed between Paradise Road and Palos Verdes Street as officers worked the scene and managed traffic in one of the valley’s busiest resort corridors. The limited details released so far point to an active injury investigation with major public safety impact because of the location, the severity of the injuries, and the disruption near the Strip.
