LVMPD Homicide Detectives Investigate Fatal Battery on East Bonanza Road

LAS VEGAS, NV — Authorities are turning to the public for help after a woman was found dead on an East Las Vegas sidewalk early Tuesday morning.

The Incident

At approximately 8:08 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police responded to a report of an unresponsive person in the 3500 block of East Bonanza Road, near North Pecos Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered a woman lying on the sidewalk outside a local business. Medical personnel were called to the scene, where she was pronounced deceased.

The Investigation

Detectives from the LVMPD Homicide Section have officially taken over the case. While the victim’s identity has not yet been released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office, investigators have confirmed the following:

  • The Assault: Initial evidence suggests the woman was severely battered at some point overnight before her body was discovered.

  • No Suspects: As of early Thursday morning, no suspects have been identified or taken into custody.

  • Call for Evidence: Police are urgently seeking any witnesses or business owners in the area who may have surveillance footage from Monday night into Tuesday morning.
