LVMPD: Woman Discovered Dead inside Her Home with Her Infant Still Alive

LAS VEGAS- On Tuesday night, a woman was discovered dead inside her home near MLK Boulevard and Washington Avenue. According to officials, a child under the age of one was also located alive inside the home.
Around 6:44 p.m., officers responded to a call in the 800 block of Reed Place. According to authorities, the victim’s parents called 911 to report that their daughter had been stabbed and died inside the house.
When police got on the scene, they entered the house and discovered a girl in her twenties with stab wounds. Medical workers pronounced the woman deceased at the spot, according to police.
According to police, the victim’s relatives left her and the victim’s daughter at the home previous to the stabbing. When the victim’s relatives returned, they discovered her body.
The infant was located safe and is now in the custody of family members, according to authorities.
