Major Crash Closes Durango Drive; One Person Hospitalized

A person sustained life-threatening injuries following a traffic collision in the southwest Las Vegas valley on Monday morning.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to the incident near South Durango Drive and Peace Way shortly before 7:45 a.m. on July 28. Emergency medical teams transported one individual to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Authorities have not disclosed the number of vehicles involved or the circumstances leading up to the crash. As of 8 a.m., the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada reported that Durango Drive was closed in both directions at Peace Way. Motorists were advised to seek alternative routes as the investigation remains ongoing.
