Man Taken Into Custody After Body Found in Southeast Las Vegas Valley Desert Lot

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (702 Times, NV Globe) – A guy was detained by Metro police after a corpse was discovered on a desert property in the southeast Las Vegas valley.
According to police, officers responded to a complaint of an unresponsive male at the intersection of Mountain Vista Street and Carol Circle about 5:30 a.m. on Saturday.
When cops arrived, they discovered the guy near a homeless encampment, and he was declared dead at the site by medical professionals.
According to authorities, the victim had a violent argument with a homeless person who resided in a neighboring homeless encampment. Shawn Jackson, 33, was recognized as the perpetrator.
Jackson was apprehended and sent to CCDC, where he was charged with open murder.
Jackson is due to appear in court at 8 a.m. on Tuesday.
