LAS VEGAS – The Nevada Department of Transportation has announced that Desert Inn Road near the I-15 will experience overnight lane and ramp restrictions starting Monday, April 10th. These restrictions are due to necessary bridge repairs that need to be completed.
The scheduled lane and ramp restrictions will last until April 21st, and they will occur nightly between 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Crews will work every Sunday night through Friday morning, except for the first week due to the Easter Holiday.
During the repair work, Desert Inn Road will be reduced to one lane in both directions, and the Desert Inn onramp and offramp to and from Highland Drive will be closed nightly. These closures and restrictions are necessary for crews to perform bridge deck rehabilitation and thin bonded multilayer overlay with joint replacements on two bridges, according to the NDOT.
To stay up-to-date with the latest state highway conditions, motorists are advised to visit www.nvroads.com or call 511 before driving. The NDOT advises drivers to plan their routes accordingly and to be aware of any changes or updates to the lane and ramp restrictions while work is underway.
