Nevada Judge Michele Fiore Suspended with Pay Amid Ongoing Ethics Investigation

Pahrump Justice of the Peace Michele Fiore has been suspended indefinitely with pay, following a unanimous decision by the Nevada Commission on Judicial Discipline. This action comes after Fiore received a full and unconditional pardon from President Donald Trump on April 23, 2025, for her federal wire fraud conviction. Despite the pardon, the commission determined that Fiore’s ongoing conduct warranted further review, citing additional complaints that question her honesty and ability to perform judicial duties.
Fiore, a former Las Vegas city councilwoman and state assemblywoman, was convicted in October 2024 on six counts of wire fraud and one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud. The charges stemmed from allegations that she misused over $70,000 in donations intended for a police memorial, instead spending the funds on personal expenses, including rent, cosmetic surgery, and her daughter’s wedding.
The commission’s decision emphasized that while a presidential pardon may close a criminal case, it does not preclude the commission from considering a judge’s ongoing conduct in determining potential violations of judicial conduct. The panel noted that Fiore’s actions have harmed the public’s perception of the judicial system and its legitimacy.
Fiore’s attorney, Paola Armeni, declined to comment on the suspension. Fiore has not publicly responded to the commission’s decision.
The commission will continue to investigate the additional complaints against Fiore to determine whether further disciplinary action is warranted.
