Nine Women File Joint Lawsuit Against Bill Cosby, Alleging Sexual Assaults in Nevada

LAS VEGAS – In a recent development, nine women have come forward to file a joint lawsuit against comedian and actor Bill Cosby in Nevada. The lawsuit, which has been reviewed by the 8 News Now Investigators, accuses Cosby of a series of sexual assaults spanning from 1979 to 1992, with some incidents alleged to have taken place in Las Vegas hotels. Each woman claims that Cosby either drugged them or attempted to drug them.

While the lawsuit was filed in federal court, it also references Nevada’s updated sexual assault reporting law, which removes the two-year limit to file civil sexual assault cases. Lawyers representing the women argue that Cosby’s own deposition, where he admitted to obtaining drugs to use on women he wanted to engage in sexual activities with, further supports their claims.

The allegations within the lawsuit detail disturbing encounters. For instance, plaintiff Lise Lotte-Lublin claims that Cosby provided her with beverages to help her relax during an acting mentoring session in 1989. However, after consuming the drinks, she felt dizzy and incapacitated, during which Cosby allegedly performed sexual acts without her consent.

Similar accounts of alleged sexual assaults are outlined by the other plaintiffs, such as Lili Bernard, Janice Baker-Kinney, Rebecca Cooper, Linda Kirkpatrick, Janice Dickinson, Angela Leslie, Pam Joy Abeyta, and Heidi Thomas. The incidents reportedly involved drugging, loss of consciousness, and unwanted sexual advances by Cosby.

It’s worth noting that in 2021, Pennsylvania judges overturned Cosby’s sexual assault conviction, ruling that he should not have been prosecuted in a previous case. Despite this, dozens of women have accused Cosby of sexual abuse, and the recent joint lawsuit in Nevada adds to the growing number of allegations against him.

As of now, no attorney representing Cosby has been listed in the docket, and he has consistently denied previous accusations. The lawsuit filed by these nine women marks another significant legal challenge for the embattled comedian and actor.
